Jared B. Fudge, PhD, Director and principal consultant, Jared Fudge Scientific (Australia) Pty Ltd
Jared Fudge studied plant science to MSc level in his native New Zealand at the University of Otago before PhD studies in Switzerland at University of Geneva, where his thesis, in collaboration with ETH Zurich, aimed to biofortify rice and cassava with enhanced levels of the essential micronutrients vitamin B1 and B6. Jared then entered the publishing industry in London, including as Associate Editor at Current Biology (Cell Press) and Senior Editor at Nature Biotechnology (Nature Portfolio), before starting his own business in 2023 as a publishing strategist guiding leading plant scientists on preparation and revision of their work for high-impact journals.
